I was so happy when I received this table, but when I tried to put it together, it just drives me nuts!!! It’s impossible to get the any of the screws to go all the way in. I tried rubbing soap on the screw threads and that almost get the last screw I tried to go in but it still got stuck (and the screw head was stripped so I can’t drive it in any further)! I gave up and now I’m not sure how to return such a heavy table, after spending all these money. :[...]

It is a very good set for kids but it is abet big, So I recomend it for schools rather than home.

This table is durable and was easy to put together. Its a nice color and matches my other living room furniture.

I got this for my 4 1/2 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter. They really enjoy having their own space to color and play. I was considering getting a set from Pottery Barn Kids but this was a much better value.
Assembly: I assembled everything by myself in less than an hour. My husband helped me when he came home because one of the holes was too tight and he suggested I lubricate the screw with a bar of soap. It worked. I also waited to completely tighten all the screws until I had each piece standing and level. The screws for the table are kinda cheap and very easy strip. Once I switched over to a new, sharp Phillips screwdriver instead of an old one it worked much better. But I still had to be careful.
Appearance: The pecan is lighter than pictured but it’s very attractive. The color is very similiar to my natural finish oak floors so it is very pleasing to look at. Everyone who sees this in my kids’ bedroom is impressed by this adorable and sturdy set.

This is a very nice set in terms of style, structure, and child friendliness. Our grandson loves it and it’s appearance is nice enough to have out in our very adult home even when he is not visiting. My only disappoinment is the word chosen to describe the color. “Pecan” coloring in the adult decorating world is a brown based finish and this set is much more of a cherry color…even a bit on the orange side. I actually ordered the “cherry” set the day after the pecan one atrrived to see if there had been a mix up and it is very dark, a reddish mahogany color, with the finish poorly applied. I have decided to pick the lesser of two poor color descriptions and keep the “pecan”, even though it is not. If matching a decor is not high on your importance list this is a really great set and I suspect it will last through many grandchildren.
